• Higher-order thinking skills, problem-solving and leadership abilities, by using the California State Standards (Common Core) and LAUSD's Positive Behavior Support Plan (3 B's- Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible)

Vision

The Vision of Independence Elementary is to cultivate a learning environment where all students CAN and WILL learn in order to be successful in the 21st century.

 

With a stable, experienced faculty and committed community support, Independence has embarked on an ambitious school improvement program. Through a focus on rigorous, standards-based instruction and innovative family education and community outreach programs.
